Ignore small mistakes for now and concentrate on the fun of playing the two chords with the rhythm. Just have fun! Once you are used to forming chords...Practice them with a metronome, paying close attention to the rhythm.Record yourself playing, even if it's a hassle; listening to yourself will greatly help your progress. When you are comfortable playing chords...Practice them while making sure that "each string has a clear sound" and "you like the way your playing sounds".
